My commitment to spatial justice has been the driving force behind my actions since I began my higher education journey. My interest in built environment sparked during my undergraduate studies in Community Health when I noticed that Public Health and Urban Design are inseparable fields. Practically every opportunity I had to research or implement positive changes on campus at my alma mater were centered around the architectural health of my city and campus. These experiences and subsequent opportunities to seek connections between urban design and public health were the catalyst to my proficiency in creativity and nontraditional thinking.

I’m currently working towards a Master in Urban Design at the UNC Charlotte David R. Ravin School of Architecture, where I am exploring tactics in spatial modeling and placemaking that can positively impact the future of urban equity and reduce health disparities caused by unjust built environments.
